Palliative Care & Hospice Education and Training Act

On June 28, 2017 the Coalition participated in the Patient Quality of Life Coalition's 4th annual Lobby Day in Washington, DC.
88 advocates from 26 organizations met with 93 Congressional Offices to advocate for the Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training Act.
Supportive Care Coalition Board member Sarah Hill, PhD, along with outgoing and incoming Supportive Care Coalition Executive Directors, Tina Picchi and Denise Hess, visited multiple house and senate offices seeking additional co-sponsorship for the bill.
As a result the PCHETA bill gained 35 additional co-sponsors in the House of Representative and Senate.
