Presented by Michael Kearney, MD and Radhule Weininger, PhD

In this mini retreat, Dr. Kearney and Dr. Weininger considered the different occupational stress syndromes, burnout, vicarious traumatization, and moral distress that we as health care workers are especially vulnerable to in these times of COVID and examined three models of self-care – the practical, the psychological, and the spiritual that may be helpful to mitigate occupational stress and promote job satisfaction and resilience. They shared three short meditation practices, mindfulness, self-compassion, and nature connection that may be helpful.
