Emotional Intelligence through self-awareness

Emotional intelligence researcher and author Daniel Goleman defines self-awareness as "a neutral mode that maintains self-reflectiveness even in the midst of turbulent emotions." Goleman asserts that this type of self-awareness is key to developing emotional intelligence and overall well-being. 

Chade Meng-Tan, Google's "jolly good fellow," describes self-awareness in the video below.
